Benigno Noynoy Aquino III

Despite all the negative and politically damaging issues and events that happened in the first 100 days of the Aquino administration, President Benigno C. Aquino III still enjoys a very high satisfaction ratings in the most recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey earlier posted by ABS-CBNnews.com. In the SWS survey, 71% of the respondents said that they are satisfied with President Noynoy Aquino III, while 11% responded negatively. The SWS Survey result, taken in September 24-27, 2010, has given the President a +60 net satisfaction score.

The high satisfaction rating of PNoy is higher than the +24 net satisfaction of former president and now congresswoman, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, in March 2001. PNoy‘s rating however is lower than the +66 net satisfaction rating of former President Fidel V. Ramos in September 1992.

President Noynoy Aquino III started his administration with a very high net trust rating of +83. However, his administration has since then been hounded by several incident that resulted to the fall in his ratings. Perceived to be the most damaging to PNoy‘s administration, is the Manila hostage crisis that claimed the lives of Hongkong nationals. Other issues that might have affected the performance rating of PNoy are the reported involvement of close allies to jueteng operations, the Hacienda Luisita dispute, unclear policies and confusing administrative decisions.

The SWS survey showed a balance positive response in all the areas covered. The error margin for the survey is at ±3% for national and ±6% for area percentages.
