A swastika was placed on France‘s far-right Front National (FN) leader Marine Le Pen‘s forehead, as shown in the photo below, and appeared on a video shown during a Madonna concert in Paris; with the French politician reportedly now planning to sue the pop singer.

As noted at Daily Mail on Sunday, July 15, 2012, Madonna performed at the Stade De France on Saturday night, as part of her MDNA World Tour 2012, and a video was shown depicting photos of well-known personalities such as Pope Benedict, Sarah Palin, and Marine Le Pen, while she is singing ‘Nobody Knows Me’.

According to the report, FN‘s vice-president Florian Philippot said that the party could not accept ‘such an odious comparison’ and filed a formal complaint. The same video with Nazi symbol on Le Pen‘s photo was also shown in the first stop of Madonna‘s concert in Tel Aviv, Israel last May, as shown in the video below.

“This is just another provocation in Madonna‘s world tour so that people will talk about her. Marine Le Pen will defend not only her own honor but her supporters and the millions of National Front voters.” Philippot was quoted at Daily Mail, referring to the swastika photo controversy.

“We understand how old singers who need to get people talking about them go to such extremes. If she does that in France, we’ll be waiting.” Le Pen was quoted earlier, as she threatens to sue Madonna if the said video will be shown in their country, with the party reportedly denying being an anti-Semitic.

Madonna, who will turn 54 this coming August 16, is also being set to perform in other parts of Europe later, including Ireland, Austria, Russia, Poland, Finland, among others; but will go back to France on August 21 to perform at the Stade Charles-Erhmann in Nice, before bringing her MDNA concert tour to North America.
