According to Telegraph on Friday, June 17, the Susan Boyle musical “I Dream a Dream” will premiere at Theater Royal in Newcastle, England, on March 23, 2012.

As noted on the report, British actress Elaine Smith will portray as Susan Boyle, who is better known in the comedy series “Rab C Nesbitt” and was said to be a favorite of the “I Dream a Dream” singer.

Interestingly, Susan Boyle sang “I Dream a Dream” during her audition in Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 which had more than 300 million views in YouTube.

Later, it became the title of her first album and eventually ranked as Amazon‘s best selling album and went into the number one spot three months before it was released.

“I never thought my life story would end up on the stage but a lot has happened in two years and it is a very exciting prospect,” Susan Boyle was quoted as saying, whose second album “The Gift” also topped the UK chart last November.

“I hope everyone enjoys the show and I promise there will be a few surprises along the way,” the 50-year old singer added, who also sang for Pope Benedict XVI back in September 2010 when he visited Scotland.

Apparently, producers of the “I Dream a Dream” musical show told reports that it will tour Britain, Australia and the US six months after its premiere.
