‘Struck by Lightning’ movie trailer starring Glee’s Chris Colfer released (Video)

The official movie trailer of ‘Struck by Lightning‘ starring Glee‘s Chris Colfer, his debut film, as shown in the video below, was released on Friday, February 17, 2012.

As noted by E! Online that day, ‘Struck by Lightning‘ is a comedy movie is about a high school outcast who blackmails his fellow students to contribute to his literary journal so he can get into a journalism school.

According to the report, the movie was written and co-produced also by Chris Colfer, who plays as Carson Phillips, the lead character, and being directed by Brian Dannelly, known for his 2004 film “Saved!

“This movie is about all the kids in high school who are overachieving in their own right and underappreciated for it just like I was. I think it’s very sarcastic and very real.” Colfer was earlier quoted in a statement at Entertainment Weekly.

“I hope it goes to show that there are still lots and lots of smart kids out in the world. It’s about smart kids and not about stupid kids who wanna get laid and that’s their biggest goal in life.” The 21-year old Glee star added.

Meanwhile, Allison Janney will play as Sheryl Phillips, Carson‘s mom, and Rebel Wilson will play as Malerie, his best friend; with other stars includes Modern Family‘s Sarah Hyland and Christina Hendricks.
