For the first time in 15 years, Stone Roses members appeared together on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, to announce two reunion concerts in Manchester next year, to be followed by a world tour. This was reported by several UK entertainment news sites that day.

According to reports, the band will have two shows at Heaton Park, Manchester on June 29 and 30 next year, followed by a world tour.

Singer Ian Brown reportedly said that his friendship with John Squire had been fixed and they hope to release a new album soon.

Reports said that they will be playing new songs. When asked about a new album, Ian Brown reportedly said: “We hope so, but we said that before didn’t we? We’ll ride this until the wheels come off, like we did last time.”

The announcement was made at the scheduled press conference at Soho Hotel in central London.
