Steven Seagal, American Actor, to Serve as Deputy to Hudspeth County Sheriff, to Patrol the US-Mexico Border

American actor, Steven Seagal, will serve early next year as a deputy with the Hudspeth County sheriff’s office patrolling the US-Mexico Border, international news sites said, October 14 and 15.

Reportedly, Seagal, 59, who is also an expert in the martial arts Aikido, was sworn in by Sheriff Arvin West of Hudspeth County.

Previously, Steven Seagal had a reality TV show, “Steven Seagal: Lawman,” as a peace officer enforcing the law in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.

Seagal had become popular as an action star in the movie “Above the Law,” which was released in 1988.

He also starred in films like “Under Siege,” and “On Deadly Ground.”

Steven Seagal wanted to “help secure the border,” reports said, and that he did it not because of the  publicity but because of “love for country.”
