“This Sunday will be Steve Jobs Day in the State of California,” Governor Brown (@JerryBrownGov) tweeted on Saturday, 11 days after Mr. Jobs passed away at the age of 56.

According to Wall Street Journal on Friday, there will be a memorial service for Steve Jobs also on Sunday and Apple has sent an invitation to some of Silicon Valley executives.

The private event was said to be held at Stanford University‘s campus on Sunday evening, and only close to Steve Jobs are being invited. Even the press is not invited to the said event.

Last week, a smaller private funeral for Mr. Jobs was held and was only by members of the Steve‘s family, including his wife, Laurene Powell Jobs.

Meanwhile, Apple was said to be also planning to host an event for Apple employees to celebrate Steve Jobs‘ legacy, to be held on Wednesday, October 19, at its headquarters in Cupertino, California.
