As noted at the official websites of Amazon and Apple on Monday, October 24, 2011, the 656-page Steve Jobs biography e-book version costs $16.99. The hardcover copy was initially listed at $35.

According to Apple, it was based on over 40 interviews with Steve Jobs conducted over two years, as well as interviews with more than a hundred family members, friends, adversaries, competitors, and colleagues.

Meanwhile, book author Walter Isaacson was interviewed by Steve Kroft at CBS’ “60 Minutes” on Sunday and talked about the book and released some audio of Steve Jobs during his interview.

“I admire Mark Zuckerberg. I only know him a little bit, but I admire him for not selling out, for wanting to make a company. I admire that, a lot.” Steve Jobs was quoted on the recorded audio.

“We talk about social networks in the plural, but I don’t see anybody other than Facebook out there. Just Facebook, they’re dominating this.” Jobs added.

Apparently, Mr. Jobs also discussed in the book his opinions about his competitors such as Google and Microsoft, as well as his struggle with his health which was starting to deteriorate that time.

Earlier, a Steve Jobs biography movie is reportedly under way and Sony Pictures is being eyed to make a deal to acquire rights to feature his life and will be based on this newly released biography book.
