In Starkville, biggest damage was reported to be in a mobile home park close to the Starkville High School. The storm destroyed an estimated seven mobile homes and several buildings were damaged. Some of the mobile homes were tossed from their foundations, authorities reported.

“It just flipped, I didn’t hear any (tornado) sirens and then all of a sudden I was spun around,” Robert Graham, a resident of one of the mobile homes was quoted saying.

“We can’t confirm whether it was a tornado, but it’s what’s expected based on what is being seen on radar,” Daniel Lamb, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Jackson was quoted saying.
