According to reports, the announcement was made during Spike’s Game Trailers TV show on Thursday night. Titled Star Wars 1313, the game is said to be a third-person action-adventure game.
“We’re excited to share one of the projects LucasArts has been hard at work developing. Star Wars 1313 dives into a part of the Star Wars mythos that we’ve always known existed, but never had a chance to visit. We are committed to bringing the best gameplay experience and visual fidelity to life and I truly believe the work we are showcasing at E3 will speak for itself,” Paul Meegan, President of LucasArts reportedly said.
Reports said that the game’s hero will use human skills and gadgets instead of supernatural force powers. Furthermore, it will feature a combination of platforming, cover-based combat and playable cinematic gameplay.
Release dates and game platforms have not been revealed yet. The game will make its formal debut at the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles on June 5-7, 2012.
