Snow warning for North of England was issued by the MET Office in UK as one to two inches and up to four inches on higher ground is expected to fall in the area on Sunday, March 13, 2011.

Heavy snow fall has been experienced earlierĀ  in the week in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Recent severe weather has come across UK that brings heavy snowfall and affected roads in some areas.

Road condition warnings were issued to motorists in the area of Stirling and Pertshire where the A9 route was severely affected.

Affected areas are expected to have worse conditions as the weather reached the Highlands. Snow of six to ten inches (15-25cm) are expected to cover the area over the weekend.

Glasgow, Edinburg and other low-lying areas in central Scotland are expected to see experience snowfall of about one to two inches of snow.
