A smiling polar bear cub was introduced at Buffalo Zoo in western New York on Friday, March 1, 2013, as shown in the photo and video below. The cute polar bear, which is barely 3 months old and has no name yet, made its public debut, as part of the announcement for a fundraising project of the zoo.

According to a report at, the playful female polar bear cub was born on November 27, 2012 to mother Anana, sired by Nanuq. The holy cuteness is being hand-raised by the veterinary technician and keeper staff of Buffalo Zoo, which is one of only two North America zoos to have polar bear births in 2012.

As noted on the press release, the zoo is also asking for donations for the new polar bear exhibit, which costs $18 million. Nevertheless, around $4 million is remaining for assistance. The pledges are being requested to Western New York residents and the surrounding community.
