O’Connor, who married Herridge last December 8, 2011, which was also her 45th birthday, with the wedding held in Las Vegas, Nevada, announced that her marriage is over, this time for good.

As reported earlier, the “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer announced last December 27, or 16 days after their marriage, that she has separated from Herridge, citing that he is being “disliked by certain people”.

However, O’Connor surprised the public on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, or eight days after they separated, that they are reunited again and noted that they are ‘boyfriend and girlfriend‘ again and will stay married.

“Spent beautiful evening of love making with nine other than husband! Who turned up angelically we decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend” Sinead O’Connor (@vampyahslayah) tweeted that day.

Nevertheless, O’Connor updated her official website last Friday, or ten days later, that certain media in her country Ireland, along with other people, have caused “enormous damage deliberately and maliciously” to her husband simply because they she is with him.

“The behavior of one particular paper resulted in very serious damage to my husband and myself personally and consequently made the marriage untenable so that it is now over and I hope the media will kindly leave the poor man alone to get on with his life.” O’Connor wrote at SineadOConnor.com.

“I have been told by the one paper who tried to destroy my husbands job that it is entirely my fault they did as I don’t just shut up and sing.” O’Connor added, who has four children from her previous marriages.

“I will never again associate myself romantically with anyone as I could not bear to see these things done again to someone I love.” O’Connor wrote, whose third marriage with her long-time friend and collaborator Steve Cooney in 2010 lasted for 8 months only.
