Sharon Cuneta reacted to Hayden Kho’s controversial tweets last January 28 about the certain billboard ad, saying, “There’s a billboard ad in EDSA developed by advertisers who think consumers are stupid. Guess.” Although he did not mention names, many speculated that he was referring to the Marie France slimming endorsement of the Megastar. This was disclosed by local entertainment sites, Manila, February 10, 2011.

With the circulating rumors about the image being unrealistic and edited, Sharon Cuneta defended the ads. “It’s true! Hindi daya ‘yan!” (It’s true, that’s not fake!”)

Cuneta admittedly heard about Kho’s notorious tweets, allegedly saying:

“Kung totoo ‘yun, ang kapal ng mukha niya!” (If that’s true, he’s so brazen!)

…”As far as I’m concerned, stupid people shouldn’t comment on what is stupid or not,”  the Megastar has reportedly said, as disclosed by Philippine Entertainment Portal last February 9.

The actress/singer reiterated her credibility as a product endorser saying, …”I’ll remind  everybody that I’ve been endorsing products very credibly, very carefully, since I was 13”.

After hearing the fuming statements of Sharon Cuneta, Hayden Kho denied that that he was referring to Cuneta’s slimming ads. Via his Tweets, he posted, “WoW! I wasn’t referring to the MF billboard. I was referring to a ‘L**D’ that’s supposed to be a LOURDES. Dahan dahan naman po. ( Please, take it easy.)

Meanwhile, Marie-France said that the billboard will not be pulled out either due to the controversy or due to violation of billboard guidelines. “It’s approved and the billboard is up because it’s real”, said the PRO of the slimming salon.
