Manny Pacquiao is too small. It would be a mismatch. I don’t believe that it will ever happen,” Sergio Martinez apparently said in an interview after he knocked down Paul Williams on the second round of their rematch on Sunday (Manila time).

As published at BoxingScene.com on Sunday, Sergio Martinez of Argentina who retained his WBC Middleweight belt after winning against American boxer Paul Williams said that he prefers a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr instead of Pacquiao.

Sergio Martinez, now with a record of 46-2-2 record, with 25 knockouts, wins over Paul Williams, after the former lost on their first encounter last December of 2009.

The 35-year-old Argentinian boxer who stands 5′ 10″ suggested that Mayweather Jr may be a better opponent over the 8-division boxing champion Manny Pacquiao, who just won against Antonio Margarito (also stands at 5’10”) in a very convincing unanimous decision last week.

Meanwhile, Sampson Lewkowicz, manager of Sergio Martinez, said that his boxer will ‘never fight against Manny Pacquiao’.

While adding that it will be a mismatch, Lewkowicz also said that Martinez will ‘knock Pacquiao out’.
