Serena Williams vs. Tsvetana Pironkova: Williams Makes a comeback bid in the Aegon International

Serena Williams plays against Tsvetana Pironkova, today, June 14, to make a comeback bid for the tennis championship in the Aegon International at Eastbourne. This was reported by  several UK news  sites,  June 14.

Williams who have been away for 12 months because of   a   foot injury and a pulmonary embolism stated that:

“My attitude hasn’t changed.  It’s still    insatiable, just an innate thing inside me.  I want everything and I want to win and do well.”

According to real-time  results, the  first set  was won  by Tsvetana   Pironkova 6-1  and the  second set shows  Serena Williams up,   6-3,  while  the  3rd set is also won  by Williams, 6-4.
