SeaWorld and Disney World Unentertaining Incidents

Seaworld and Disney World, famous theme parks in Orlando, Florida, has been in the center of a controversy during the past week.

According to an earlier report by New York Post, 26-year-old Michael Grzybowicz of Cocoa Beach, Florida raped a 2-year-old girl at SeaWorld and took pictures of his own crime using his mobile phone and sent it to his email.

The incident happened on February 17, 2011 inside the theme park. The mother of the child requested Grzybowicz to watch the toddler while she went for an amusement ride with her boyfriend.

Grzybowicz is now being held in the Brevard County Jail according to Orange County sheriff’s deputies. He now faces charges of sexual battery and lascivious molestation on a child younger than 12.

Below is the statement issued by SeaWorld about the recent incident.

Nothing is more important than the safety and welfare of our guests, and our team members are trained to report any kind of suspicious behavior. Illegal behavior of any type is not tolerated at our parks. Our thoughts are with the family at this very difficult time.

In another incident, a woman was allegedly raped on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 by 31-year-old Wilber Brookins, a Disney World employee. According to a report by Daily Mail, Brookins was charged with sexual battery and is being held with a bail bond set at $10,000 .

Disney already put Brookins on unpaid leave until the result of the police investigation.
