Sears Closings List 2012 to Increase as it Plans to Close More Stores Until Mid-2012

Sears closings list 2012 will continue through the first six months of the year as the retailer plans to close down an additional 62 stores, according to reports by several international news sites on Thursday, March 15, 2012.

Reports say that Sears regulatory filing revealed that the retail stores will be closed within the first half of the year.

The annual Sears report indicates that it will be shutting down 43 Hometown Stores, 10 hardware stores and all of its nine Great Indoors stores. Sears official said that employees were already notified of the closings as early as January.

Earlier, Sears already closed down 120 under performing Sears and Kmart stores.

Hometown Stores offers appliances, consumer electronics, and lawn and garden equipment. Kenmore appliances, Craftsman tools and DieHard batteries were being sold in Sears Hardware stores. Great Indoors handles all the company’s home remodeling and redecorating services and products.
