Clear as Day”, a debut album of “American Idol” winner Scotty McCreery, astoundingly enters Billboard 200 chart at No. 1 with 197,000 sold, as announced by several international news sites, October 12, 2011.

According to Billboard.com, Scott Cooke “Scotty” McCreery, 18, is the youngest male artist to open at the top of the chart with a debut release and similarly the first country act to debut at No. 1 with an initial studio album.

Related reports surprisingly reveal that Scotty McCreery is also the first “American Idol” winner since 2003 to hit No. 1 with first studio set.

Scotty, obviously thrilled with the album’s success, is reportedly quoted as saying, “Everybody hopes for the number one, but you never really expect it.”

“To see it up there is pretty incredible,” he further added.
