The statue is not just bronze. It is colorful, with his hair given a color and his jersey colored red, the typical color of a Bulls jersey. According to reports, the statue will be displayed inside the United Center as a tribute.

During the ceremony, Pippen thanked the organization and fans and told the crowd that he was “truly honored.” He said that he really appreciated the “the love, the drive” they gave him.

The statue was reported to have been made by the same artist who sculpted Michael Jordan‘s statue outside the United Center.
