Warner Bros. and WWE Studios are now collaborating to create a full-length animated movie, wherein the Scooby-Doo gang will try to solve a mystery at WrestleMania. Some of the WWE superstars will appear in the film in animated form and will lend their voices for the movie project.

According to a press release at WWE.com on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, along with WWE wrestlers such as Triple H, John Cena, Kane, The Miz, Brodus Clay, Santino Marella, Sin Cara, and AJ Lee, will appear in animated form and will lend their voices to the movie project.
As noted in the report, the movie plot starts when Shaggy and Scooby won tickets to WrestleMania, and the entire gang will travel in the Mystery Machine to WWE City to attend the epic event. However, a mysterious ghostly bear appears and threatens to ruin the show; with WWE superstars to be helping solve the case.
“Warner Bros. is thrilled to get into the ring with WWE Studios to bring fans an unprecedented animated adventure,” Jeff Brown, Executive Vice President and General Manager, TV, Warner Home Video, was quoted in a statement, with the Scooby-Doo-WWE movie tandem no release date yet.
“We’re excited to leverage the WWE‘s family-friendly brand and passionate fan base and integrate some of the most popular WWE Superstars and Divas within the Scooby-Doo gang.” Brown added, with WWE Studios President Michael Luisi noting that they also excited to work with Warner Bros.
The gang, which includes Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and Fred, will be back in film to be distributed by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment worldwide on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital download. It will be produced by Warner Bros. Animation, while WWE will be marketing the film worldwide via TV, print media, among others.
