As noted in US news sites on Thursday, February 16, 2012, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin was seen leaving a Manhattan hotel holding a blue Jeremy Lin jersey and admitted to be among his fans.

According to reports, Palin, 48, who ran for Vice President for the Republican Party in the 2008 election, showed her admiration for the 23-year old American-Taiwanese NBA player, who was undrafted in 2010.

“What an American story! It’s uplifting. It’s positive. It unifies our country. Talk about this underdog who’s worked so hard and overcome a lot. We’re big fans of Lin.” Palin was quoted telling to TMZ.

Apparently, Lin led the New York Knicks to six straight wins including a winning 3-point buzzer beater against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday, February 14, with the final score of 90-87.

Last Wednesday, his team had its 7th straight win after beating Sacramento Kings with him not playing in the entire fourth quarter but reaching a career high assists of 13 and making 10 points.

Meanwhile, TMZ asked Ms. Palin as to whom she prefers between Jeremy Lin and Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, both notably a devoted Christian, which she said “both of them”.

As reported earlier, Nike is being rumored to be making a Linsanity edition of the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 and exclusively to brand a shoe for Jeremy Lin, who was also named Eastern Conference Player of the Week last week.
