According to a RadarOnline.com on Monday, Britta‘s mother Elizabeth confirmed to them the news and said that she is very happy to see her first grandchild.

Kyla Grace is great. She’s beautiful,” Elizabeth was quoted on the report, adding that she loves her daughter and son-in-law very much, who were reportedly high school sweethearts and got married last May.

“They’re their own people; we’ve known each other for a long time.” Elizabeth said on her family’s relationship with Sarah Palin and husband Todd.

Meanwhile, reporter Joe McGinniss who is now writing a book about Sarah Palin, wrote on his blog that the second grandchild of the 2008 US vice presidential candidate was around 6 ½ lbs when she born.

As of this writing, Sarah Palin has not yet released any official statement on the arrival of Kyla Grace, with 22-year old Track being an Army Reservist and plans to study at the University of Alaska.

Britta, 21, currently takes up nursing at the University of Alaska and was once a roommate of Bristol Palin, Track’s younger sister, who gave birth in 2008 to a baby boy.

The baby boy was named Tripp and is Sarah Palin‘s first grandchild, and her daughter Bristol was only 18 that time, and the father of the baby was her former boyfriend Levi Johnston.
