Samsung and Google have decided to postpone the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event during the CTIA in San Diego, previously scheduled for Oct. 11.” A statement at Samsung Official Global Blog reads.

“Under the current circumstances, both parties have agreed that this is not the appropriate time for the announcement of a new product.” Google and Samsung said on their joint statement.

“We ask for your understanding regarding any inconvenience caused. We will announce a new date and venue in due course.” Both companies explained further.

Although the reason for the postponement was not specified, analysts believed it was due to the death of Steve Jobs and they wanted to pay respect for the loss of the Apple co-founder.

Meanwhile, it is being expected that the Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2011will unveil two latest products from Google and Samsung, joining forces again.

Apparently, spreading rumors revealed that Samsung will launch Nexus Prime, the successor to the Nexus S, while Google may launch its new version of Android OS, known as Ice Cream Sandwich.
