Manila, Philippines – Ryzza Mae Dizon of Eat Bulaga will have her own talk show titled The Ryzza Mae Show, which will be shown at GMA-7 starting Monday, April 8, 2013. Dizon, 7, who won as Little Miss Philippines 2012, is dubbed as the “smallest and youngest” talk show host.
As aired live on Eat Bulaga on Monday, April 1, 2013, “Bossing” Vic Sotto announced that Ryzza Mae Dizon will be hosting her own show, after giving her a pink microphone which was taken from a vault. The next day, Bossing announced its time slot, 11:30 a.m. (local time), right before Eat Bulaga.
As explained on the noontime show, Ryzza Mae, who is also a co-host of Eat Bulaga, will be talking about anything under the sun, including food, places; and will interview noted personalities. A video teaser was also shown that day, showcasing her talent in singing, dancing, and comedy.
Apparently, Ryzza Mae Dizon has gone far in the local showbiz industry in a very short period of time. Besides Eat Bulaga, she also appeared the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival entry film “Si Agimat, si Enteng Kabisote at si Ako,” billed by Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr., Vic Sotto, and Judy Ann Santos.
Her life story was featured in GMA-7‘s the weekly anthology “Magpakailanman,” aired on December 8, 2012, where she played the role of herself. The said episode reportedly beat rival show, ABS-CBN‘s “Maalala Mo Kaya.” It scored an average household rating of 26.7%, compared to 20.9% for MMK.
Last March 9, Ryzza Mae‘s debut sitcom at GMA-7, titled “Vampire ang Daddy Ko” was aired, also featuring Vic Sotto, Jimmy Santos, Oyo Boy Sotto, Ms. Pilita Corrales, among others. Meanwhile, The Ryzza Mae Show will be competing with ABS-CBN‘s top rating romantic-comedy show, Be Careful With My Heart.
To date, Ryzza Mae Dizon is being dubbed as the newest child wonder in local entertainment, following the footsteps of Nino Muhlach in the 70s and Aiza Seguerra in the 80s. Seguerra, who is now a notable singer/composer, also started her career in Eat Bulaga, and participated in Little Miss Philippines 1987.
