Ryan Murphy: No Justin Bieber episode for Glee on February

There will be no Justin Bieber episode for Glee, contrary to the recent online news that there will be, according to Entertainment Weekly (EW) on Sunday.

Apparently, some entertainment news sites reported that Glee is set to do a Justin Bieber episode, which was said to have a tentative showing this coming February 15.

According to the recent news, Glee will feature some songs of the 16-year old pop idol but did not mention if Justin Bieber himself will appear on that episode.

However, EW reported later that Glee creator Ryan Murphy confirmed that there will be no Justin Bieber episode in Glee, particularly on February.

“Those (tributes) are reserved for artists with big catalogs.” Murphy was quoted as saying. “Bieber comes up in episode 13 as a small plot point.”

However, EW reported that Sam Evans (played by Chord Overstreet) will sing a Justin Bieber song to win the approval of Quinn Fabray (played by Dianna Aragon).

That Glee episode, which is entitled ‘Comeback’, which apparently will be shown this winter and will also showcase Rachel Berry (played by Lea Michele) and Mercedes Jones (played by Amber Riley) singing a song from the Broadway musical, Rent.
