Russia displayed its Sukhoi T-50 stealth fighter in MAKS-2011 air show near Moscow on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, according to reports by several international news sites.

The new Sukhoi T-50 fighter jet, also known as PAK FA, is Russia’s answer to the F-22 Raptor and F-35 Joint Strike Fighter of the United States (US). T-50, a joint project by Russia and India, took its maiden flight in January 29, 2010.

Russian state news RIA Novosti reported that air force commander-in-chief Gen. Alexander Zelin revealed that the T-50 will start its mass production in the early part of 2014.
