Russia Launches $650(bn) Billion Military Spending Drive, Yuri Dolgoruky Nuclear Submarine Part Of The Rearmament Plan

Russia‘s military reportedly launched a $650 billion rearmament plan to replace its outdated weapons and warplanes. They have added hundreds of combat planes and warships, thousands of helicopters and eight Yuri Dolgoruky nuclear submarines, international news reported.

Reports said that the announcement was revealed by Deputy Defense Minister Vladimir Popovkin last week which was said to begin this year with the deployment of new generations of warplanes and antimissile weapons by Russian ground forces.

According to Popovkin, the programs main task is the modernization of their armed forces and that the $650 billion will be allocated by acquiring this new war weapons.

Meanwhile, Valentin Rudenko, director of the independent Interfax-Military News Agency said that “for about two decades we’ve had no real modernization, at least not like what’s being proposed now. Russia will finally have a modern, top-level armed forces that are capable of protecting the country.”
