Rosie O’Donnell joins Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Studio, to have a new talk show

Rosie O’Donnell now joins Oprah Winfrey on her Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) studio, where she will have a new talk show, US entertainment sites report.

Rosie O’Donnell, a former host of ‘The View’ announced on her video blog on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, her excitement and gratitude for having a new show at OWN, as Oprah will have her final episode this coming May 25.

“I just wanted to say hi, and I’m coming to Chicago. It’s a huge thrill for me, and I’m beyond the beyond,” O’Donnell said on the video, referring to her upcoming show at OWN.

“Thank you Oprah, and thank all of you who will be sticking around and helping us make a kick-ass show for the Oprah Winfrey Network,” O’Donnell added, as she told her child to keep quiet.

“I’m delighted to welcome Rosie to the studio I’ve called home for so many years. Speaking from experience, she will be working with the best team in television in one of the greatest cities in the world.” Oprah earlier said on a statement.

“There is an enormous personal respect and value to that little bit of real estate to Oprah,” Harpo Studios president Sheri Salata was quoted at Chicago Sun Times.

“I think it’s safe to say they have an excellent relationship.” Salata added, noting that O’Donnell’s new show will feature 130 original hour-long episodes and tackle real issues concerning the everyday life.

O’Donnell, 49, won six consecutive Daytime Emmys for her previous talk show ‘The Rosie O’Donnell Show‘, which ran from 1996-2002.
