Room 200, a red-carpeted room at the US Capitol, is considered as the Congress’ “super committee” room, according to reports by several international news sites on Monday, November 7, 2011.

The bare 30-by-30 foot Room 200 is where Democrat and Republican lawmakers lock themselves to deliberate on several issues pertaining economic provisions of the US government.

The most recent Room 200 discussion include lowering the huge budget US deficit and control the increasing American debt load.

There is no seating arrangement inside Room 200 among the US senators and members of the House of Representatives using it during committee meetings.

Reports say that about six Republicans and six Democrats are now routinely changing places inside Room 200 to come up with a deal by November 23 to lower down the US deficit to about $1.2 trillion in a span of 10 years.
