As noted by Rolling Stones on their official website on Sunday night, Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards, and Charlie Watts performed live in front of 20,000 people in their hometown in London, which lasted for two hours, and were joined by former band members Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor.

According to the report, Rolling Stones sang their hits songs from each decade in their music career, along with their two new songs ‘One More Shot‘ and ‘Doom And Gloom‘ from their latest album, which was released last November 9 in UK and on November 12 in the rest of the world.

“Everybody alright in the cheap seats? They aren’t so cheap though, are they? That’s the trouble . . . ” Mick Jagger was quoted telling to the fans in the upper rows, by Rolling Stone magazine, apparently hitting earlier rumors that their concert tickets are very expensive for a 23-song reunion show.

“What a year it’s been for British celebrations. There was the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee…We didn’t do that. The Olympics…We didn’t do that. James Bond‘s 50th anniversary…And we didn’t do the song for that either! But I’m so glad that we’re here and that you’re here.” Jagger added.

The Rolling Stones 50th anniversary concert, which will be followed by another event on the same venue this Thursday, November 29, started with a brief video tribute from celebrities including Elton John, Iggy Pop and Johnny Depp, who praised the band for lasting 5 decades in music history and their staying power.

R&B superstar Mary J. Blige was also on the show and had a duet with Mick Jagger for the song “Gimme Shelter,” and later tweeted, “So much fun performing in London w/ the @RollingStones! Congrats on your 50th anniversary!!” Rolling Stones was also joined by iconic guitarist Jeff Beck.
