“Imagine your city with no crime, where a policeman’s life is never at risk.” A voice-over can be heard saying at the start of the video, with the RoboCop movie reboot to feature Joel Kinnaman as Alex James Murphy aka RoboCop, along with Hugh Laurie, Abbie Cornish, Samuel L. Jackson, and Gary Oldman.
“In the coming months we will unveil our newest and most exciting innovation yet, where human resources meets robotic engineering. The RC-2000, the next-generation of defensive products.” The narrator added, as the teaser also features XT-908 Aerial Drone, which promises maximum force with zero casualties.
“For a half-century, these words have set the framework upon which OmniCorp has aimed to build a brighter world. We don’t do passive technology. At OmniCorp, our solutions generate a beacon of safety that we shine upon on the dangers of the day.” A statement reads at OmniCorp.com as their vision.
“Our products have elevated your lives. Our people have inspired your future. Our passion will always be at your side.” OmniCorp added, with the OmniCorp website bearing the tagline “We’ve got the future under control” and has various ‘sections’ about their products, but without links yet or separate pages.
This upcoming RoboCop remake, which is being slated for release in August 2013, is written by Josh Zetumer and directed by Jose Padhila; and to be distributed by Sony Pictures and MGM. The original RoboCop was portrayed by Peter Weller and had a sequel “RoboCop 2” in 1990. RoboCop 3 was shown in 1993, with Robert John Burke as the title role, but reportedly flopped in the box-office.
