RIM BlackBerry Curve smartphones 9350, 9360 and 9370 models unveiled (Video)

Research In Motion (RIM) unveiled on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, its three new BlackBerry Curve smartphones, which will run via BlackBerry 7 OS, with a Vodafone UK review video below.

As announced by BlackBerry posted on its official website, the three new smartphones are BlackBerry Curve 9350, BlackBerry Curve 9360 and BlackBerry Curve 9370 models.

“These new models will build on the incredible success of the BlackBerry Curve line and further expand the largest global launch of BlackBerry smartphones in our history,” RIM President and Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis was quoted on the report.

“The new BlackBerry Curve smartphones are absolutely stunning and offer a significant performance upgrade with an unmatched mobile social experience for the millions of feature phone users in the market as well as our existing Curve customers.” Lazaridis added.

Apparently, the three new BlackBerry Curve smartphone units have similar appearances, having their connectivity options and storage capabilities being different from each other.

The BlackBerry Curve 9350 has CDMA connectivity, while BlackBerry Curve 9360 and BlackBerry Curve 9370 have EDGE/HSDPA, and CDMA/EVDO and EDGE connectivity, respectively.

For the specifications, these new BlackBerry Curve smartphones run an 800-MHz processor; have a 2.44-inch HVGA+, 480 x 360 display, 5-megapixel camera with flash, a backlit, QWERTY keyboard and optical trackpad.

This latest BlackBerry smartphones measures 109 mm x 60 mm x 11 mm (L x W x D), and has CDMA talk time to up to 5.5 hours, Video Playback up to 9 hours and Audio Playback up to 45 hours.

According to BlackBerry, these smartphones are expected to be available in Canada carriers within this month and from other carriers around the world starting next month, September; but prices and exact date of release to be announced later.

Nevertheless, they will be joining recently released smartphones such as the BlackBerry Torch 9810, 9850, and 9860; and the BlackBerry Bold 9900 which will be released this coming August 31 via T Mobile.
