Rihanna tops UK records, matches Elvis Presley in chart history

Rihanna has established a new record after she was regarded as the first female artist in UK chart history to have achieved number one singles in five consecutive years, according to the report by the Official Charts Company.

The announcement was made, after her single entitled, “What’s My Name?” rose from number two to the top spot. The feat was also achieved by Elvis Presley, the last solo artist for this award, from 1957 to 1963.

Rihanna’s album “Loud,” also holds number one in the album charts, giving her the second UK chart double of her career. In 2007, her album “Good Girl Gone Bad” and single “Umbrella” topped the Official Albums and Official Singles Charts simultaneously.
