Rayne, Louisiana Hit by Suspected Tornado, U-Haul Offers Free Storage for 30 Days

Rayne, Louisiana was hit by a tornado leaving 1 person dead and 11 injured.  U-Haul offers the residents of affected areas in Rayne and Southeast Louisiana, a 30-day free storage. This was disclosed by American Banking & Market News, March 5, 2011.

Mayor Jim Petijean of Rayne, La requested for prayers for the victims of the disaster. More than a thousand refuges were forced to evacuate while about a hundred homes were damaged. In the face of this destruction, U-Haul comes to the rescue with this generous offer.

According to American Banking and Market News, residents could also take advantage of U-Haul’s free boxes through its “Take a Box, Leave a Box Program.

Warren Iles, President of U-Haul Company, Northern Louisiana said that:

“These tornados have caused tremendous damage throughout the communities we serve. I hope this effort will provide assistance to families that need a helping hand. We will continue to help our friends and neighbors in this time of need.”
