Randi Zuckerberg, the sister of Facebook’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, has resigned as marketing director of the popular website. Randi has resigned, apparently, to set up a company of her own, RtoZ Media. This was disclosed by international news, August 6.

Randi Zuckerberg will be supporting Facebook from the outside however, even if she will soon have her own website. As marketing director, she had made Facebook participate in national concerns, like Facebook Live during the Global Economic Forum and the town hall meeting of US President Obama. She has been an ABC news correspondent in the 2008 Presidential Debates and in 2010 worked with ABC to webcast the US national midterm elections.

Reportedly, she had stated in a panel discussion hosted by Marie Claire Magazine, that anonymity online should go and that online users should sign up with their real names to prevent cyber bullying. According to her, people behave well when their real names are known, and that anonymity would make them think they could say anything they want.

Further reports stated that Randi Zuckerberg also said that she could better support Facebook when she stays from the outside with her own company working with other media companies. RtoZ Media though, has not been established yet online, as of this writing.
