Puppy Bowl VII: Animal Planet’s Cutest Alternative to Super Bowl

Puppy Bowl VII is Animal Planet‘s cutest alternative to the Super Bowl, several news sites reported. Forty-seven puppies were said to be playing on this year’s Puppy Bowl, 10 of which will be on the Animal Planet Stadium at any given time.

According to Animal Planet, the new Puppy Cam lets the viewers watch the action from the puppy’s point of view. Aside from the cute dogs, Puppy Bowl VII features chicken cheerleaders and a half-time kitten show dubbed as the Bissel Kitten Halftime Show.

For the first time in Puppy Bowl history, all of the Puppy Bowl action will now be broadcast in 3D version which will premiere on “3net,” the new 3D network venture of Sony, Discovery Communications and IMAX in 2011.

Puppy Bowl VII airs on Animal Planet starting at 3:00 pm E/P, February 6. All of the puppies featured were said to be available for adoption at local shelters.
