Pulse Asia Survey March 2011: VP Binay most trusted public official, PNoy lands second

Manila, Philippines – The recent Pulse Asia Survey resulted that Vice-President Jejomar Binay is most trusted public official in the country, as President Benigno Aquino III (PNoy) landed on the second place.

According to Pulse Asia on their official website on Thursday, March 24, 2011, VP Binay had a trust rating of 81% while PNoy had only 75%, as shown in the Table 2 below; with survey conducted from February 24 to March 6, 2011.

In addition, the survey showed that VP Binay had a performance rating of 83% while PNoy had only 74%, as shown in the Table 1 below.

On both tables, Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile grabbed the third place with 56% trust rating and 60% performance rating.

As noted by Pulse Asia’s ‘Ulat sa Bayan (Report to Nation), this latest survey was based on a sample of 1,200 representatives nationwide, to adults 18 years old and above, with a ± 3% error margin at the 95% confidence level.

Meanwhile, Joey Salgado, VP Binay‘s spokesman, told reports that the vice president is grateful for the support of the people, and vowed to work even harder by helping the president.
