Professor Splash (Darren Taylor), the death-defying high diver from Denver, Colorado, who had broken the Guinness World Record for highest shallow water dive, was voted by judges as the 4th act on America’s Got Talent 2011. This was reported by US TV news sites, July 27 & 28.

Splash has been in close competition with magician Seth Grabel last July 27 for the last slot, and it was during the last moments that Professor Splash was voted to join the 3 other acts. The judges were Sharon Osbourne, Howie Mandel and Piers Morgan.

Splash had dived about three stories high (36 feet, 7 inches) with just 12 inches water to dive in to. The judges were impressed with the daredevil stunt.

Professor Splash would advance to the semi-finals as one of the 4 semi-final acts, which include Lys Agnes (Opera singer), PopLyfe (band), and Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., (singer).
