Pride of Kalinga: PSupt. Steve Ludan, from Lubo, Tanudan, is one of Philippines’ Outstanding Policemen in Service

Manila, PhilippinesPolice Superintendent Steve B. Ludan, is one of Philippines’ Outstanding Police Officers in the Metrobank Foundation’s “Country’s Outstanding Policemen in Service” (COPS) 2011,as sponsored by Metrobank and recognized by the Senate on August 24, 2011.

PSUPT Ludan had also met with President Noynoy Aquino to receive his medal of recognition for his dedication and sterling performance as a police officer.

PSupt. Ludan has indigenous ancestry as his father hails from Lubo, Tanudan Kalinga and his mother from Benguet.

Blessed with 4 kids with his marriage to Lizette Romero, PSupt Ludan grew up in the hinterlands of Lubo, Tanudan, Kalinga, hence his attachement to his ethnic roots.

He is presently assigned as the OIC, Administrative & Resources Management Division, PNP Aviation Security Group. His innumerable achievements in crime prevention, solution of crimes and campaign against illegal drugs have been outstanding.

Some of PSupt Ludan’s achievements include the following:

*Created the BARKADAHAN (BAtang mag-aaRal KontrA DrogA Handog sA LaguNa), Which was designed

 “To insulate the youth from the evils of illegal drugs through aggressive educational campaign, information drive, and symposiums.”

* Acted as Chief of Personnel & Administration with the United Nations Police in Timor-Leste, 2002-2003.

* Neutralization of four (4) kidnap for ransom group members responsible for the KFR of Bacoor Chinese trader Jefferson Cheng in 2009.

These are only a few of PSupt Ludan’s various achievements in his career as a police officer.

PSupt Steve B. Ludan and his co-awardees for the Country’s Outstanding Policemen in Service (COPS) were honored by Senator Juan Ponce-Enrile and other senators last August 24, 2011. The rest of the awardees were: Supt. Samuel Turla, Chief Insp. Delia Ingala, SPO4 Emmanuel Isiang, SPO2 Helen dela Cruz, SPO1 Manuel Padlan, PO3 Rodel Alcano and PO2 Rena Salaya.

PSupt Steve Ludan believes that:
