President Obama to guest at Jimmy Fallon show “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on April 24

US President Barack Obama will be the guest of Jimmy Fallon on his NBC show “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, which will be aired at 12:35 am ET.

The appearance of Mr. Obama on Jimmy Fallon‘s show, which will be his first time, was confirmed by White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer on his official Twitter account on Friday, April 20, 2012.

Pres Obama will appear on @jimmyfallon on Tuesday at UNC Chapel Hill to talk abt preventing interests rates from doubling on student loans.” Dan Pfeiffer (@pfeiffer44) tweeted.

Apparently, this was also confirmed by Jimmy Fallon himself via his official Twitter account (@jimmyfallon) also that day, tweeting “The President of the United States!?!?! @BarackObama see you Tuesday!!!”

Obama, who has already appeared on shows of David Letterman and Jay Leno, is the first sitting US president to have been doing these late-night talk shows appearances, with the special show of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” to be taped from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

That night, Dave Matthews is set to perform as the show’s musical guest and Jimmy Fallon to also bring along his acclaimed house band The Roots, with US First Lady Michelle Obama also have appeared in the said show aired last February.
