President Obama praised Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie for giving Michael Vick a second chance but Tucker Carlson thinks otherwise. This is according to International Sports News, December 29, 2010.

Michael Vick is the Philadelphia Eagles’ great quarterback who served an 18-month federal sentence for dogfighting. Michael Vick came back and was given a second chance to play in the NFL by Philadelphia Eagles’ owner Jeffrey Lurie.

President Obama heard about this and had praised Lurie. This caught the attention of Tucker Carlson.

Tucker Carlson is a Fox News commentator who thinks that Michael Vick should have been executed for running a dogfighting ring for 5 years.  He was a guest host at the Sean Hannity’s Show when he said this.

Several quarters reacted to Carlson’s comments, saying that people are inherently good and that people like Michael Vick can be given a second chance.  The Center of Employment Opportunities stated that this is the main reason why people who have history of incarceration find it difficult to find jobs and turn a new leaf, because most people would not give them a second chance.

In the meantime, the Philadelphia Eagles have welcomed Michael Vick who had a sensational performance in the last game with the Minnesota Vikings, although the Vikings won 24-14. He sustains a leg injury though, that might not allow him to play against the Dallas Cowboys in the next game.
