Popocatepetl Volcano In Mexico Spew A large Plume Of Ash
By May Shella Mojana-Macuha on Jun 5, 2011 in Natural Disasters, Science, World •Popocatepetl, Mexico‘s tallest volcano reportedly spewed large plume of ash that had reached three kilometers in height on Friday, June 3, 2011, international news reported.
Reports said that Popocatepetl volcano has been discharging columns of steam and ashes since 11 a.m. on Thursday. People were encouraged by Mexico‘s national disaster prevention agency to stay away at least 12 kilometers (7 miles) from the crater which was said to be about 40 miles (65 kilometers) southeast of Mexico‘s capital.
As noted from other news site, it was said that the cloud has a high ash content, but it does not poses any risk.
