As noted at ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, September 21, 2011, PNoy gave his reaction that day after issuing earlier a ‘no reaction’ on the news about his former girlfriend Shalani Soledad.

“You know I like the song ‘Got to Believe in Magic.’ There’s this line there that says ‘Tell me how two people find each other.’ Well now she found someone.” PNoy, 51, was quoted on the report.

“Ako kasi tinatanong ko pa din sa sarili ko how do people find each other? Siya nasagot na niya,” The bachelor president added, refusing to answer if he will attend the Romulo-Soledad wedding or not.

(I am still asking myself ‘how do people find each other?’, but she (Shalani) already knows it.)

“Kapag sinagot ko ang tanung mong ‘yan para ko namang sinabi na imbitahin nyo ako. Pag sinabi ko di ako dadalo parang sasabihin nyo may sama ako ng loob… walang tamang sagot dyan,” PNoy explained.

(If I answer your question, it will be like them telling them to invite me. If I will you I will not come, people might think I am bitter…so there is no right answer for that.)

Soledad, 31, and PNoy reportedly broke up in October 2010 after two years of dating apparently due to their busy schedules, with the Valenzuela City counselor now a TV show co-host at TV 5.

Meanwhile, Pasig City Congressman Roman Romulo reportedly gave Shalani a diamond ring when he made a marriage proposal last week, with the wedding date not revealed but being speculated to happen in early 2012.

Romulo, 44, son of PNoy’s former Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto Romulo, confirmed early this month that he and Shalani have been dating for several months, after being introduced to each other early this year.
