A plane goes off the runway at the Leonardo da Vinci airport in Rome on Saturday, February 2, 2013. The plane reportedly was damaged upon its landing and ended up slightly inclined in the grass.
The ATR-72 turboprop plane, operated by Carpatair airline based in Timisoara, Romania, reportedly missed the runway after it encountered strong winds while landing at the airport.

Airport authorities reported that there were at least six individuals who were injured in the incident.
Two of the plane passengers suffered contusions. The injured passengers were sent to a hospital with one taken by a helicopter.
Reports say that only one airport runway was operational on Saturday due to the strong wind in the area.
