Pilar Pilapil, a Binibining Pilipinas-Universe winner back in 1967 and a well-respected local actress, was said to be now in a stable condition after she was stabbed multiple times on Thursday night, at around 9:30 p.m.

According to local news, Pilar Pilapil is with a friend named Rossel Rosalem when the incident happened in which both of them were abducted by the suspects.

Apparently, the 60-year old veteran actress was left wounded in Piedra Blanca Homes in Bgy. San Luis, Antipolo City, while Rossel Rosalem is still missing, as of this writing.

As told to news by Antipolo Police PO3 Rodel Druha who made an initial investigation, Pilar Pilapil still managed to ask help from residents within the area, despite being badly injured.

Although there were no further investigation reports released by authorities, news reports said that there were three suspects escaped with the vehicle.

The carjacking incident apparently occurred at Riverbanks Center, but the mall management told reports that there was no such claim brought to them and categorically denied the incident.

Meanwhile, friends, relatives and celebrities who have visited Antipolo District Hospital where Pilar Pilapil was first brought, said that she suffered from multiple stabbed wounds but is now safe.

Among the celebrities who visited her include actress-talent manager Annabelle Rama and Pia Pilapil, the victim’s daughter.

Pilar Pilapil was said to have been transferred to another hospital within Metro Manila for further treatment but the location was not disclosed due to safety reasons since the suspects are still at large.

Just hours before the incident, Pilar Pilapil was reported to be speaking at the press conference at the Cercio restaurant in Tomas Morato, Quezon City, apparently talking about her stage play entitled “The Vagina Monologues“.

As reported by Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), one of the topics during the press conference is about battered women.
