Pictsweet Recall 2010: Vegetables may contain Glass Fragments (Product List)

A vegetable supplier had announced a voluntary recall on Friday due to possible containment of glass fragments, American news sites said.

The Pictsweet Co. of Bells in Tennessee said that the packages containing frozen vegetables that was sold by Wal-Mart and at Kroger stores in the southeast of US may contain glass fragments.

Although there were no reported incidents, anyone who might accidentally eat such contaminated foods may be injured, in which about 24,000 pounds of vegetable packages were affected.

With this, the said company strongly suggests the public not to eat the recalled store-brand vegetables, but rather should return them to where they bought it with a full refund.

According to the said announcement, below is the product list included in the Pictsweet recall 2010.

Production Codes: 1960BD and 1960BE

Kroger 12 ounce Green Peas (UPC 11110 89736)
Production Codes: 1440BU, 1440BV, 1440BW, and 1600BD

Great Value 12 ounce Steamable Sweet Peas (UPC 78742 08369)
Best by Dates: July 20 and 21, 2012

Great Value 12 ounce Steamable Mixed Vegetables (UPC 78742 08026)
Best by Date: July 15, 2012
