Philippines’ Typhoon Pablo, with international codename Bopha, has slightly accelerated according to the latest update by the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) at 5 p.m., Tuesday, December 4, 2012 (Philippines local time).
The latest severe weather bulletin by PAGASA indicates that Typhoon Pablo has quicken at it moves towards the Philippines provinces of Siquijor and Negros Oriental.
PAGASA said that super Storm Pablo was spotted at 60 km Southeast of Dumaguete City with coordinates of 9.0°N, 123.7°E.
Typhoon Pablo is reportedly moving “west northwest at 24 kph with maximum sustained winds of 160 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph.”
PAGASA forecast says that they expect Typhoon Pablo at “140 km Southwest of Coron, Palawan by Wednesday afternoon, 450 km West of Subic, Zambales by Thursday afternoon and 660 km Northwest of Iba, Zambales by Friday afternoon.”
