Philippine Azkals reportedly won 2-0 over Mongolia Blue Wolves in the first leg of their Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup qualifying tie held at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City on Wednesday night, February 9.

According to reports, the Panaad Stadium was filled up by Philippine football fans hours before the Philippine Azkals match with the Mongolian Blue Wolves. Azkals fans clad in white T-shirts and was said to be very anxious to see their football heroes in action.

Emilio Caligdong reportedly scored the opening goal in the 42nd minute while Phil Younghusband scored the second goal in the 92nd minute time.

Meanwhile, President Aquino reportedly released P3 million from his Social Fund. The amount will be used for the Philippine Football Federation‘s (PFF) need for the Azkals and Blue Wolves match on March 15 that will be held on Ulan Bator, Mongolia. The information was disclosed by the PFF president Mariano Araneta Jr., according to ABS-CBN.
