Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney‘s running mate in the upcoming presidential election this November, is reportedly now using the code name “Bowhunter,” after he received Secret Service protection last month when he announced that he will run for vice president.

According to GQ Magazine on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, a campaign official told them that Paul Ryan‘s secret code name is “Bowhunter,” and her wife Janna, is “Buttercup,” with the Republican vice presidential candidate known for being a skilled archer and that hunting is his hobby.
As noted in the report, Ryan will be featured in the cover story of model for Deer and Deer Hunting magazine in their October 2012 issue, which was made available on stores that day. There, he talked about his his childhood, being a father, and balancing his hunting and Capitol life.
Back in March, GQ reported that multiple campaign sources told them that Mitt Romney‘s secret code name is “Javelin,” which is being referred to as the 1960s car manufactured by American Motors, where George Romney, Romney‘s father, was the chief executive.
On the other hand, US President Barack Obama‘s code name is being noted to be “Renegade,” which was given to him back in 2007 when he was given Secret Service protection, while his wife US First Lady Michelle Obama is “Renaissance, and Vice President Joe Biden goes by the code name “Celtic.”
Meanwhile, Ryan, 42, earlier spoke at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, with his speech theme went into asking the question, “Are you better off than you were four years ago?,” and later criticized President Obama‘s administration, including his “Obamacare” law.
